The Refresher Clinic is for all
currently certified Youth Referees and above (Formerly Class 4 and above). It
is mandatory that all referees take
this annual refresher course to remain registered with BCSA.

Small-Sided Referee Clinic: (For 12 and 13 year olds)
The NSYSA Small-Sided Referee
Clinic is for 12 and 13 year olds interested in becoming referees.
Small-Sided Clinic
Information:
Clinic
Duration: Two days (Day one is a 4 or 5 hour session and Day two is a 5 or
6 hour session) 10 instructional hours total.
Cost:
$50 payable to North Shore Youth Soccer Association
Course
Syllabus: Enhanced BCSA Small-Sided Referee Clinic syllabus (formerly
called Class 5) with additional syllabus from NSYSA tailored to reffing
U10-U12 NSYSA games. Examples are Assistant Referee (AR) training, Centre
Reffing games without ARs, Game Management techniques for pee wee and
young youth games etc.
Upon
completion: Officially BCSA certified Small-Sided Referee.
This NSYSA Small-Sided
Referee Clinic is for NSYSA coaches interested in becoming referees. (Current U11,
U12, and U13 coaches will be given a higher priority for registration.)

Duration: Two days (Day one is a 4 or 5 hour session and Day two is a 5 or
6 hour session) 10 instructional hours total.
Cost:

called Class 5) with additional syllabus from the BCSA Entry Level Clinic
(formerly called Class 4 Clinic) plus special segments on coaches/referee
communication and game management.
Upon
completion: Officially BCSA certified Small-Sided Referee.
The Entry Level Clinic is for
anyone at least 14 years old that wants to become a BCSA certified Youth
Referee (formerly a Class 4). Current Small-Sided (Class 5) referees who will
be 14 years old this summer should take this upgrade course.
Entry Level Clinic Information:

Duration: Three days (Day one is a 4 hour session. Day two is a 7 hour
session. Day three is a 5 hour session. 16 instructional hours total.

Syllabus: Standard BCSA Entry Level Referee Clinic (formerly called Class
4).
Upon
completion: Officially BCSA certified Youth Referee if you are 14-15 years
old and District Referee if you are 16 years or older.
